Citrus floral notes, complex aromas of sweet jasmine, lemon lime and an underlying nuttiness. The wine is voluptuous and generous, with a zing of lemon sherbet. Balanced and elegant, the palate is softened by the residual sugar which delicately offsets the acidity, giving length and structure. This is a very approachable food-friendly Riesling which can be enjoyed now or over the next five years.

IN THE WINERY
The grapes were picked early morning to capture the cold and ensure they were in top condition. The fruit was whole bunch pressed to give the cleanest juice and the softest handling for minimum phenolic extraction. The juice was cold settled for two days, inoculated a
nd fermented at cool temperatures to enhance the fruit characters. The wine was aged on full yeast lees for six months to give extra body and balance to the racing acidity. The wine was then stabilized, filtered and bottled to retain its lively character.
In the vineyard
The grapes were grown at our winery block on 25-year-old vines. They were all pruned to the two cane VSP system to allow maximum light and air movement in the canopy and leaf plucked to ensure clean, open bunches. All picking was done by hand to ensure maximum quality fruit. This wine is made from certified organic grapes.
