Our community
How we work with, support and contribute to our community is an important part of being a sustainable business. Some of the things we're doing in our local communities include:
- buying from local suppliers where possible
- being a long time sponsor of and venue for Wellington Summer Shakespeare
- supporting the Wairarapa Hospice, through time and sponsorship
- holding regular arts and music events at the vineyard
- supporting Gladstone and Carterton community activities at the school, the Gladstone complex and in the business community
- our office manager Catherine volunteering as an ambulance officer
- being involved at board and committee level with the local and national winegrowers associations
- sponsoring and supporting a wide range of organisations and events in the arts sector, including The Arts Foundation, Circa Theatre, Pataka Art + Museum, Kokomai Festival of the Arts, Dame Malvina Major Foundation, Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand, New Zealand Book Council, Oversew Fashion Awards and LitCrawl Wellington.
